Features

Everything your API workflow needs. In one app.

From the first request to automated test runs — without plugins, paywalls or switching tools.

Organize

Collections & Workspaces

Group requests into folders and collections, keep open tabs, browse history and keep every project in its own workspace.

Scripts & Tests

Pre-request and post-response scripts with a pm.* compatible API, so the scripts you already have from Postman just run.

pm.test('status is 201', () => {
  pm.response.to.have.status(201)
})

HTTPS Traffic Capture

Built-in proxy that records traffic from any app on your machine — HTTPS included. Filter, inspect, replay into a request, or export as HAR, JSON or cURL.

Mock Server

Spin up fake APIs in seconds — no backend required. Dynamic responses with templates and fake data, rules by header, query or body, stateful CRUD resources, a proxy that records the real API, and chaos mode to test failures. Edits apply live.

Workflow

From a pasted cURL to a passing test suite

Move your existing work over in minutes and grow it into automated checks — without leaving the app.

  1. 01Import

Bring your Postman collections, OpenAPI / Swagger specs or a pasted cURL. Folders, auth and scripts come along.

  2. 02Parametrize

Pull base URLs, tokens and ids into environments — by hand or with one click from the AI assistant.

  3. 03Test

Add assertions with pm.test, chain values between requests and watch every log in the console.

  4. 04Automate

Run a whole folder in order with the Collection Runner. Variables and cookies carry from one request to the next.

Why Requester

Built for developers who hate waiting

Native, not a browser tab

Built with Tauri and a Rust networking core. It opens fast, stays light on memory and sends requests straight from your machine.

Offline-first

Use it as a guest with no account, fully offline. Sign in when you want sync — changes save locally and reach the cloud in the background.

Private by design

Secret variables are masked, AI keys never leave your device, and credentials are redacted before any payload reaches a model.

Always up to date

Signed auto-updates on Windows, macOS and Linux, or install from the Microsoft Store. New features land without a reinstall.

Yes. Requester is free to download and use for individuals and small teams — collections, environments, scripts, the collection runner and traffic capture included.
No. You can continue as a guest and keep everything local on your machine. Create an account only when you want cloud sync across devices or to collaborate with a team.
Yes. Requester imports Postman collections, OpenAPI / Swagger specs and cURL commands. Pre-request and test scripts use a pm.* compatible API, so most existing scripts run without changes.
Windows (MSI installer or Microsoft Store), macOS (universal build for Intel and Apple Silicon) and Linux (AppImage and .deb). Installed builds update themselves automatically.
Requester runs a local proxy that records HTTP and HTTPS traffic from other apps on your machine. For HTTPS it uses a locally generated certificate you trust once. You can inspect each exchange, replay it as a request, or export sessions as HAR, JSON or cURL.
Create local fake APIs for front-end, mobile or integration work before the backend exists. Responses can be static or dynamic (templates, fake names, emails, CPF/CNPJ, dates), picked by rules on headers, query, route params or body. CRUD routes keep state like a real REST API, unmatched requests can be proxied to the real server and recorded as mocks, and chaos mode injects errors and latency. Import from OpenAPI or Mockoon, or turn any captured traffic into a mock with one click.
Only when you run an AI action, and only to the provider you choose (Gemini, OpenRouter or DeepSeek) with your own API key, which stays on your device. Tokens, passwords and other credentials are redacted and bodies are truncated before anything is sent. Variable extraction and request diagnosis also work fully offline.
Sync is offline-first: every change is saved locally first and synced to the cloud in the background whenever you are online, so your devices and your team always see the latest version without losing work.
Cloud data is protected by access control and travels encrypted over TLS. Secret variables are masked in the UI, and only the people you invite to a workspace can see its contents.
